Face + voice HUD
An animated LED face that blinks, glances around and changes expression, paired with a natural local voice that starts speaking sentence by sentence.
Early access preview · NeuroTek Digital, LLC
A desktop assistant with a face, a voice and a local brain. It wakes when you call it, shows you it heard you, answers out loud and stays out of your way. Your assistant, your name.

Your assistant, your name
Instead of shipping a character with a fixed name, NTX-1 is built so you choose what to call your assistant when you set it up. Same face, same voice, your name.

Capabilities
Built, tested and logged on a Windows 11 desktop. The version tag shows when each feature landed.
An animated LED face that blinks, glances around and changes expression, paired with a natural local voice that starts speaking sentence by sentence.
Say its name and it wakes: the HUD shows “Acknowledged.” and, after answering, it keeps listening for about 8 seconds so you can follow up without the wake word.
The moment the wake word lands, the face switches to a questioning look with an LED “?” so you know it heard you.
Tell it to go to sleep and it says so, closes its eyes and waits quietly for the wake word instead of shutting down.
82.6 °F is spoken as “eighty-two point six degrees Fahrenheit” and 1,000 ft as “one thousand feet”. On-screen text stays exact.
Replies come from a language model running on your own PC through Ollama, kept warm for quick answers. It goes online only for lookups such as weather or web search.
Save your home city once. “Is it sunny?” or “Is it hot out?” answers for your city in US units by default, with metric available.
Connect Gmail once, then ask it to empty your spam folder. It tells you how many messages are there and deletes nothing until you say yes.
The HUD scales to any window size, and Ctrl + / – or Ctrl + mouse wheel sets a zoom level it remembers.
Also in the current build: it opens allowlisted apps and sites (Gmail, Calendar, YouTube, Notepad and others) and answers date and time questions straight from your PC’s clock.
Try saying
Call it by name, then ask. A few things the current build handles:
What’s the weather like today?Your home city’s forecast, read out naturally.
Empty my spam folder. It counts the messages and waits for your yes.
Open my Gmail.Gmail opens in your default browser.
What’s today’s date?Answered from your PC’s clock, instantly.
Go to sleep.Eyes close until you call it again.
Detach mode · v0.9.5
Click Detach in the HUD (or the tray menu) and the face floats on your desktop as a frameless, always-on-top bust. The HUD hides but keeps listening and logging.

How it works
NTX-1 runs as a desktop app with a tray icon on Windows.
A language model runs on your machine through Ollama. No cloud chat by default.
Save your home city, connect Gmail if you want spam cleanup, and choose your settings.
Say the wake word, ask, and hear the answer. Or type in the HUD.

FAQ
Yes. NTX-1 is a local-first desktop assistant. The HUD, voice and language model run on your PC; it goes online only for lookups such as weather and web search.
Only what you set up. Gmail works only after you connect it with an app password, and spam is never deleted without your spoken or typed “yes”. Opening apps and websites is limited to a short allowlist and can be switched off in Settings.
The product is NTX-1 (NeuroTek eXecutive-1). The assistant’s name is yours: naming your assistant during first setup is part of the NTX-1 shipping build now in development.
No. Local-first means your day-to-day conversations are meant to stay on your device. Waitlist signup emails are used only to contact you about early access.
